... the vocational education and training... a competence based aiming at imparting 75% skills , we appreciate that every mind will find life in hands on, 'feel' and 'think' approach. every student that does craft engineering course finds it a pleasure to begin work immediately and there fore experience will always be obvious as he/ she trains on job solves may problems at site.
Teachers, managers of TVET institutions and whoever is at it to impart hands on skills are therefore responsible for arrangement of consistent accurate and systematic training programs. As instructors we needed to struggle at upgrading not only for paper and CV build-up approach but rather master skills that we ought to train.
It is not the English that we use but rather the work sheets, job description sheets and performance guides that will enable our out come- the graduate to go and compete in the world of work.
we need to remember that this will take some much of your interest and time to go alone in the workshop and discover the easiest ways to enable learners understand.
This is the only way to go!!
The government as it does always endevour to promote skilling Uganda, the players must be trained and tested to check that they exhibit mastery of the skills they are to deliver.
